There are favorite numbers and then there are "special" numbers. I know someone for whom the number 33 has significance. It pops up periodically as a "God wink" to let him know the Universe is aware of him. For a long time, he thought it was only happening to him. Then it started happening to me as well. Not as often, but often enough. One day he googled "33" and found that not only are there groups of people who are similarly affected by the number 33, but also groups who have a similar association with other numbers.
